Airlie's Birthday Video

I made this movie to show how far Airlie has come in the last 12 months. I also wanted to show people that having a premature baby is a confronting thing but also beautiful too. The storm is rough but our beautiful rainbow appeared. We have met many wonderful people who had babies in the last 12 months some premature and some full term but all of them as equally important and unique to us.

I wanted to share how Airlie has impacted our lives, how much we love her and how proud we are too. I wanted to show how Adrian, Mason and I stuck together, how others helped us and that they will NEVER be forgotten. I wanted to share with the world that Pre Eclampsia and HELLP Syndrome needs to be recognized and talked about.

To all our family and friends, there just would not be enough air time to put you all into one movie so there will be many more movies. Just know we love you all and appreciate all that you have done for us. To our special Angel Baby friends, We think of you everyday and want to honor your spirit just as we would want our own children to be honored.  We hope you enjoy this presentation!

To me Airlie's Premature birth was an unexpected early arrival filled with beautiful and amazing people.

Having a premature baby is hard but you share in some of the most amazing and beautitul times during that time too. Holding your baby for the first time in nicu and seeing them go for 1 hour of cpap or totally go of the breathing machines. We go through alot when having a baby premature.

This business was born the moment I had Airlie Fae

I had my little girl at 27+5 gestation making her 12 weeks and 2 days early. I had two very severe cases of Pre Eclampsia and HELLP Syndrome HELLP stands for H (haemolysis - red blood cell damage); EL (elevated liver enzymes - indicating liver damage); and LP (low platelets in the blood leading to a bleeding tendency). Airlie was born 861gms or 1lb 14ozs, 35.5cm long and had a head circumference of 25.3cm. She was the same length as as a Mount Franklin water bottle. Airlie was in hospital for 8 weeks.

It was a huge struggle to find her premmie clothing and premature baby nappies for Airlie to wear, premmie dummies to suck and books about prems for me to read. I don’t know how many times I was told by sales assistants “it’s not worth our while stocking that sort of stuff” while I stood in front of them with my tiny baby girl. I was heart broken and then the idea started to grow. It has taken some time and courage to build this business but I do it with pure joy and passion.

My main aim is to help other families by providing links to information and family support services and selling clothing and accessories. Most importantly of all I want to make all the Mums and Dads smile. If you know someone who has had a premature baby please direct them to this site or email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   and I will help in anyway possible.
